The Bishop of Corfu after the glorification pointed out that the Holy Spiridon of Saint Spyridon is being litigated on the streets of Corfu island not only by weather, but mainly by spiritual, where the human face is alienated and the faith in Christ is persecuted. Saint Spyridon, the patron saint of Corfu, as well as of the Orthodox world, worshiped in 1716 and continues to perform daily miracles, to those with a zeal for faith turning to the Lord of glory. Before performing a miracle, Christ asked the one who sought healing if he believed. Full-hearted faith, which translates into absolute trust in God, is an important prerequisite for the miracle to work.
His Eminence also called on the faithful to remain in the storehouse of our fathers, who have preserved our worthless treasure, our Orthodoxy, as the daughter of an eye.
Concluding, Mr. Nektarios wished that Saint Spyridon would overshadow the Orthodox world with his Grace.
It should be noted that prior to the litany, the Divine Liturgy took place, with his Eminence, the Bishop of Syros, Tinos, Andros, kea, Mykonos, Milos, Sifnos, Serifos, Kimolos, Kithnos, Folegandros and Sikinos, Mr. Dorotheos, who did the Divine preaching.
